Are we too close to see what's really going on?

Remember the last time we were upset and angry about the pain and suffering in life? Perhaps we can't see what's really going on because we're just too close to see the bigger picture. Maybe we'd be willing to go through the short-term pain for the larger, good reason that will bring healing and restoration.
